In these two, thirty-minute episodes, American Troubadour, Bill Schstik, takes the viewer along on a journey into America's golden age of sailing, aboard the authentic, nineteenth-century, top-sail, clipper schooner, Shenandoah. Many of the nautical terms that have become common venacular are explained: "Skyscraper", "Up Tight and Out Of Sight", "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea", "Having The Devil To Pay", and "Freeze The Balls Off Of A Brass Monkey" are but a few. And, of course, the songs and sea shantys that carried the great ships around the world are sung and played by the Troubadour and his friends.
